I find her to be a rank, sweaty, disgusting, annoying, pasty human being. I find her acting to be overdone, her personality to be abrasive, and her singing to be screetchy, scratchy, and slightly flat.
Yet, somehow people love her. What is the friggin' deal people? Why? Why? WHY!!?

I don't know because bette midler is so 20 years ago.
You know who's really annoying? That fat ho Rachael Ray.
Now she is definitely screetchy and sounds like a miniature breed dog.

Bette Midler is a great actress and yes she is al the things you said....but she is real.

Wow I had to check your name twice because you sound just like my hubby when he talks about her....LOL
But, I agree....my mother in law LOVES her...it's so lame...she wanted "WInd Beneath My Wings" to be the song she danced to w/hubby for the mother son dance, and he almost threw up when she said that....needless to say we wound up w/ an Elton John song
