He has a team win the world series in his second year, and this year his team was the best team not in da playoffs. There are only 4 teams that make it in each league, there must be 11 bad managers in each league if ur theory is correct.

Ozzie is a stud. His players love to play for him, and that is the most important part of being a manager. He protects his players, but will give it to them if they screw up. He has balls, he is the only manager to admit that he told a pitcher to throw at a guy, when we know that all the managers tell their pitchers to do it. He won 90 games this year, I don't know how you would call that overrated. Yeah he can be a loud mouth, but Mariotti is a fag, who doesn't know that. Did he lie? I still think he could take Mags in a fight too.

Yeah he is overrated. He cares more about his new television show and short lived celebrity status than his own team. Ozzie still can't speak English after being in the U.S. for over 20 years. On the other hand, you can't put all of the blame on a manager for their team's misfortune.

Not always about the manager. That team still won 90 games. They would have won the NL West or Central division. Credit Detroit and Minnesota for having better seasons. Let's see what he can do next year.

They did win 90 games this year, which is usually good enough to make the playoffs.

Could be, just think how overrated he would be if he coached in N. Y.

I think he is over-rated. He began to buy into his own myth, thinking he's some sort of genius. He's one of those coaches who always wants to overshadow his players.
