helped them out of a bind and then now they are better and you are the bad guy? How did this happed?

No, but I have been helped to no avail. I still need the respect of my friend though, and I try to be there for her as just that. She has understandably distanced herself a bit, and it hurts no matter how understandable it is. You are not a bad guy and need to know that your friend probably knows this. Your friend is, or was, in a difficult situation and doesn't/didn't know how to handle it. Let things alone, and give it time. Your friend is probably still having trouble dealing with the problem, and has just shifted his outlook for whatever reason, for at least the time being.
Pat yourself on the back for caring enough to try to help. You are a champ!

YES I have . The one thing I did was help someone r thouhght i was helping them and it only mad things worst. there was this friend and he need a place to stay and i open my door and now they want run the house as if it's his own. It happend because I thought that i was helping and instaed i f***ed myself.So now I do what will benifit me look at the long term instead short term.

I have had something similar happen
My friend ask me what I thought of her new boyfriend and I told her what I thought which was he was a a control freak amongst other things. She told me I was jealous of her and didn`t talk intill she out of the the relationship which turned abusive. The last straw for her was when he lock her up in the house they shared

Yes, but it was a good thing because it helped me realize they weren't really friends just people to hang out with.
