It's unrealistic to be "always happy" and also you can't make another person "feel" anyway. It's up to that person to control or take ownership of their own feelings. Is this a loaded question? Sounds like the answer only serves to reinforce what you already what to hear. Maybe you're not asking the right question if there are relationship issues. Best of luck to you.

Well, without detail, or with for that fact, you can't always make your partner happy......in whatever endeavor you are talking about; and it really isn't up to you to make your partner happy....if something is disturbing them or they have more needs, it is their responsibility to come to you and say whatever the issue is......truth and honesty is the cure all in partnerships and life, so stop worrying and get to the "meat" of the issue......

Happiness comes from within, not from external things. The best way to insure maximum happiness in your partner, therefore, is to be in a relationship with someone who, at heart, is a naturally happy person.

Surprise and familiarity.
For example I have a selection of behaviours in my repertoire I select two for each day by means of shaking a dice.
1.Always answering her questions and remarks with questions?
2.Tweaking her labia in public
3.Cooking her fried beetroot with sour cream
4.Massaging her feet with peppermint foot cream
5.Spiking her Ribena with cheap Vodka
6.Insisting that she finds a happy place on the ceiling and smiles at it.
Some of these behaviours she likes and that keeps her happy. Others she loathes and describes as vile but she can always look forward to another day!

making people happy is a wonderful thing to do, especially if that person is your partner, but always making somebody happy is almost impossible since we are all humans and certainly we can't always be happy!!

You can't. We are each responsible for our own happiness. Happiness is a choice you make. You choose to be happy regardless of your circumstances. You try to look for the good and overlook the bad. You let go of grudges and you forgive. You can only make YOU happy. You can enhance and enrich his life but happiness is something intrinsic to him. It is a choice that he makes.

You can make your partner happy by doing what he wish from you and what make him comfort.. I think you can ask him/her what makes her/him happy cause it depends on the person.what he likes..and this comes by doing not by words.
