Any one of y'all ever hear of Lester Holms? He's an up and comin' black anchor on the today show, man!

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3688725/

How come the CBS evening news didn't put HIM on the news?
This brother would have been the perfect choice.......but no,
they got to go out and get this perky, white, girl-next-door
Katie Couric........ain't that just about a b i t c h ?
That was a wrong move, man! They could have hired lester, and shown how doen they were, but instead they hire this stefford
wife.......and they pay her 20 mill a year......shhhhhoooooottt,
ole les would have done it for half that, and CBS would have gotten
twice the PR for being down with it!
Mr. Johnson sho nuff don't understand the methodology behind network news, man!

Now, Elmo sho huff wouldn't have the same gravitas as Mr. Holt would, but Elmo
sho beats the pants off(or skirt off, Mr. Johnson should say), Miss Couric!

Hugh, Mr. Johnson got nothin' to do with
anything you read about the Sears Tower.
Mr. Johnson was born in a one-room shack in Tupelo in 1926, and he's found a
home on the web, which he just discovered
at the local corner store........
Mr. Johnson ain't b u l l s h i t t i n either!

I see you're having a real good time with this new black personna, Mr J. Things must be real slow up there in the Sears Tower today. I work on the 87th floor of the Sears Tower, and I cannot describe
to you the feeling I got looking out the window this morning.
Alll day is a moment of silence for me today.........Did you notice a bump in your points today?

Maybe Mr. Holms did not apply for the job. Did you ever think of that? Before you start into your racism crap, maybe you should think that maybe there was not a black man who applied for the job or was a qualified. I am not a huge Katie Couric fan anyway. I really have more important things to worry about than who is on the CBS news, for all I care they could put ELMO on.

CNN had a black anchor for many years until he retired.

CBS gambled that Katie Couric can bring the soccer moms over to CBS to listen to Anne Curry's version of the morning news. So far, the results are mixed.

Get over it. I'm sure CBS had their reasons for choosing a woman who has been in the business and is established, not "up and comin'". The evening news is traditionally a person who the VIEWERS relate to and trust. What percentage of CBS evening news audience is black? THAT may have had a role in their choice. Until you're the head of the company, stop assuming who they should and shouldn't choose.

And way to be totally racist. Congrats!

What the hell does race or color have to do with being a GREAT anchor person....

I think CBS is "down" with the decision they made....

They used to have a black woman as the anchor several years back. I can't recall her name and I don't know where she went!

Why aren't there more White basketball players in the NBA?
It's based on ability, not, give me a job because of my race.
