My great-grandmother was a member of The Rebeccas. When she passed on many years ago she left me her costume jewelry and among it was a ring and a brooch which have the letter "R" on them. My mom kind of remembers a story her mom had told her about a society called The Rebeccas. We know nothing about it and would like to complete this part in our family history we are writing.

My great grandmother was also part of the Rebeccas and Odd Fellows. It was an organization that collected charity. I've still got all of her old Rebeccas jewelry!

If they were to call themselves the "anti-gay" or "anti-homosexuality" organization do you think they would get much support? It's all about wordplay. I don't see how being anti-gay equates to being pro-family. When there are many gays who have children and form their own families. I'm pro-gay rights and pro-family regardless if that family isn't the traditional one. These organizations are trying to inject their own personal view of what a family is supposed to be and how they're supposed to function. They have their own values, political beliefs, and religious dogma that they want to instill on the general populace. so it's easy for them to say "pro-family" when they actually want to conduct their own agenda.
