It was a girl I was in love with...she just happened to be a vampire. She over-powered me, threw me onto the bed, jumped on top of me and was about to bite my neck...then I woke up. It was the most realistic dream I have ever had (as far as being able to feel). It was years ago, but I still remember it like it was yesterday.

That particular dream is often an expression of sexual desire. You wanted her to be the aggressor...instead of having to pursue her. The factor of fear in the dream could be linked to the concern over the relationship.

Have you seen any vampire movie lately or years ago!??? it could well be triggered by media effect. And that is good example of yours. However,.... there may be hidden meaning..
Vampire = blood sucking, life taking, fear, non-trust individual
bed = initimate thing
bite yoru neck = ready to suck your bood, control over you.
Basically, you are afraid of being controlled by women. Perhaps in your life, there are female authority that you do not like them to be around. Projecting a girl you were in love is to tell you that something or someone you want to control over turned into your nightware could mean you are afraid of being changes. Changes that make you feel uncomfortable like women are above you. That girl is just a symbol of female in general.
That dream reflect your personality not just in bed, but in your soical life and regular life time routine as well

Its a possiblity that it was just a dream, had you watched a vampire movie some time before that? If you really think it meant something, maybe its a sign that you wanted to be more aggressive with her, such as love making or even making sure she knew how much you loved her. Or as another person said, maybe you just wanted her to be aggressive with you. Thats not uncommon because alot of men like their women to be aggressive sometimes, to take charge.
