bartending is what I'm doing for my senior project and I need to know if there is education I need to go through to own a buisness owner later or what?

If you want to own a business, I'd focus on that -- taking business classes, etc. -- rather than the bartending part. Plus, as someone else pointed out, you can't become a bartender (or presumably take any bartending classes) until you're 21. Of course, you could get a job as a waitress or hostess and try to learn some stuff that way.

You can take a bartending class, it's just a few weeks or months or something.
Edit: My answer to the person above: Becoming a bartender manager might help her become another type of manager in her future. And you won't be a good bar manager until you know what it's like to be a bartender.

Don't you have to be 21 to serve alcohol? I am not sure. Maybe not. Anyway, get a job as a bar helper, waitress or bus person and get to know the bartenders and ask them to show you the ropes. Get a good guide to mixing cocktails and learn the standard drinks.

nope. but you cant bartend until you are 21
as the owner, you will need a business license and a liquor license, both you receive from the city/state.
you must keep your shop up to city code and follow all laws regarding keeping employees

You don't have to have education to own a bar, Just need to be licenced to sell Wine/Liquor.

To answer the question...go to bartenting school. now for my own...Why would you wan to do that. Oh and don't know if the let underage people become bartenters.
