Salary divided by weeks per year worked divided by hours per week worked.

Standard 52 weeks at 40 hours would equate to approximately 11.54 per hour.

However, you can make that also by working 20 hours a week if you were making 23.08 an hour.

However, if the calculation calls for 24/7 than you are talking approximately 2.74 an hour with 24000/365/24.

If you are talking about annual salary, then that is about $7/hr.

The average working hours in a year are about 2000 which is calcuated as follows: 50 working weeks (vacation avg 2 wks), 40 working hours in a week, or 8 hrs per day.

Assuming you work 8 hours a day, 5 days a week and take off 1 week a year, you would be making approximately $11.76 per hour.

This is done by dividing your gross salary by 2040 (hours worked in a year based on the above scenario).

Simple: 2080 is the amount of hours you'd work, if you worked 40hrs per week, for a year... so divide any given yearly salary, by 2080, and you have an hourly salary. By 52, for a weekly salary, and by 12 for a montly salary... the information is amgiguous, as "salary" work does not pay for additional time worked... so, should you have to work, 41 or more hours, to get your job finished... it means you are working for less. Isn't that exciting!?

Based on a 40 hour week it's 11.53-- I divided by 52 for the number of weeks, then divided that by 40 for the number of hours a week.

If you're basing your question on 365 days per year at 24 hours per day it's roughly $2.74/hr (8760hrs/$24,000). You may have to be a little more specific.

If you are talking about a full time job 40 hours per week equals 2080 hours per year. 24,000 divided by 2080 hours = $11.54 per hour.
