The one thing I most regret in life is being shy when I was younger. I was very shy and didn't have a lot of friends so my life was pretty lame. I wish I would have been more outgoing and confident and made more friends. Now I'm older and not shy at all but the outcome is that I don't have many friends and the ones I do have are lame. I wish I would have experienced more in life and had more fun. Life is too short to do nothing.

In our journey through life we come to a number of forks in the road. We must make a choice, hopefully based on knowledge, as to which way to go. I have had several of those forks in the road during my life time.
One of the worst I can remember choosing the wrong fork was not "shipping over in the Navy" (reenlisting). I was offered a Class A Photographer's Mate school and had the bilit guaranteed.
Instead I chose to get out of the Navy and go home to help my father farm. He farmed only one more year and quit.
By returning home however, I went to university and obtained a degree in secondary education. I became a teacher of industrial education. I taught for over 15 years. I never cared that much for teaching except for the last 3 years when I taught aircraft mechanics.
Today I am retired but have no retirement pension except S.S. Had I remained in the Navy I would have received a very good retirement. But then I might not have the daughter that I am very proud of. Although I am no longer married to her mother, my wife now is the greatest, I may have never met her.
So what is the most regret in my life? I don't know. One regret can be off-set by another blessing. I guess someday I will have to add up the score...regrets VS blessings. But right now I have a lot of life to live yet.

I wish I'd been a little smarter with my money--but all the major stuff, I'm lucky to have very few regrets. I still love my husband, after 25 years of marriage. My kids have turned out really great. Anything beyond that doesn't matter a whole lot.

No regrets, but it would have been nice to wait until I was out of school and financially stable before i had kids so i could have given them everything they needed when they were little.

i have a lot of small regrets but every choice i've made has gotten me to where i am now. if anything had been done different, i probably wouldn't have my kids. so, no regrets in the grand scheme of things.

I would say not treating my first wife better and then near the end not trying to work things out. I thought the grass was greener and thought I did not need her and would find someone better. Well guess what, the grass is NOT greener!

Not taking math class seriously, then being shut out of careers in finance and engineering as a result.

I think I got married to the wrong man. I wish I would have gave the relationship a breather before we got married.
