Depends on lots of things. The second can usually come earlier than the first which would give it less time to grow, which may cause it to be smaller. My first was induced at 42 weeks and was 7 lbs 11 oz, and my second was induced at 41 weeks and was 7 lbs 6 oz. But she had a week less to put on weight. Although my doctor said most babies just get heavier and heavier the more you have. My third was 7 lbs 10 oz and was also induced at 41 weeks, so she was the same age as my second but heavier. I think if all your babies were born at exactly the same week they would get heavier and heavier if your pregnancy was the same and there were no problems.

I have heard it to be the other way around, that the second child is usually bigger and that your belly will also be. My doctor explained that the first pregnancy is smaller because it is the first time that your muscles are being stretched and therefore you have more elastic inside, but on your second pregnancy, you have lost some of the elesticity in your stomach making your stomach to stretch more...

This is not true, it could be either way. The weight of the baby depends on multiple factor, not on how many pregnancies have you had. This has no scientific support. Just to comment, it was like that for my mom, I'm the oldest and I was bigger than my sister, but as I said, that has nothing to do with her being pg for the 2nd time.

No, this is not true. I have two boys each only twelve months apart. At birth, yes the second child was smaller (6lbs.) but now the second child at 3yrs old has outgrown his brother who is 4yrs. old. The first born was 7lbs 11oz. at birth and is now an inch shorter than his younger brother. obviously not done growing yet but each child is different.

I don't think that's really true. However, my first one was 9lbs 4 oz, and my second was 9 lbs 2 oz. I sure hope my third will be the little one of the bunch!

Nope, not true in my step moms case! My sister (first born) was 7 lbs 7 oz, and my brother (second born) was 10 lbs 8 oz! So, that's not always the case!
