right across the street some psycho naked tweaker went in and killed a guy by stabbing him to death, 3 doors down there is a meth lab, supose there's a connection. Holy crap. And we moved her to get out of the "hood".

A man tried to break in to the house on the corner of my street. It's about 4 houses from mine. It happened to be the Sheriff's house. I was outside at the time, but didn't know what was going on until I heard yelling. The man tried to go for a gun but the sherrif shot him. I witnessed the whole thing and I was only 9 years old. The image of that man hitting the ground has never left me.

Actually, yes. I sold apples for a local organization to a couple down the street, and I found out yesterday that the wife shot the husband is now sitting in a county jail. What the hell am I going to do with my apples? Ugh.

All the time, what about you? Just the other night, a group of teenagers beat up a crack head and he came back in a pick up truck with a shot gun and a rifle. He didn't get arrested and the kids ran. I have a lot more stories like that. It's a constant in my neighborhood.

When I was 11 one happened in an apartment 3 doors down from us. A son and father got into a fight, the son chopped up the father with an axe and put him down the garbage chute. I still remember my mother bringing the policemen on duty coffee and meals.

i live in a quiet neighborhood, but yes, of course there have violent crimes committed nearby

YES! We live in a quiet, middle class neighbor and some college kid killed his dad with an axe about 2 years ago!!
