pt is premenopausal,has had lumpectomy and taken ext.radiation but brachytherapy was inadequate ,has taken tamoxifen for 5 years,lumpectomy did not have clear margins,the tumour was very close to the operated margin.suggest further treatment to prevent recurrence and secondaries.the tumour was strongly ER,PR positive.

I am not a Dr, but with the unclean margins, already having had radiation, I think the option you are looking at is a mastectomy.
There are new meds and such - worth reviewing with your oncologist. There are always big cancer hospitals doing trials that you could check out as well.
The latest studies talk about better success by following Tamox with Arimidex, or other SERMs - look at PDQ or NCI for treatment protocols.

u hv done surgery so now it is better to take medicines and regular checkup lifelong b'cause there is no other way to cure such type of ca.
u can go for other tr.like homeopath or ayurved.
