U can't buy a world series, u can buy guys to play their best, both defensively & offensively!! ( No, im not a yankees fan either) Trust me, if teams could buy a world series, then whats the point of having guys play in the regular season & risk getting injured, & at least every team in baseball would have 1 world series championship. Im sorry & I dont want to be (sound) rude, i know that yankee fans hate the red sox & red sox fans hate the yankees, but c'mon, just admit that ur team was plagued with injuries & that they lost, they weren't that great this year. At least u have 1 world series, there's teams out there that have none, be proud of what ur team accomplished & quit being a sore loser!!!! Get over it, there's always next year (season)!!!!!

That is the biggest cop out of all time.
Yeah, I hate the yankees as much as any other red blooded American. But you have to realize that Mr S. has the money to spend, and he'll spend it. Players want to win a World Series, and the yankees always have a good chance to win the WS every year.
So, of course the yankees will go out and get all the best players.
That is why they win.

whine whine whine... they havent even won anything LOL. It's not the Yankees fault they have more money than anyone else, i mean, im a met fan, and i think the whining about the Yankees money is the last gasp of sumone whos team must really suck ballz... they havent won anything since 2000... are you saying they couldnt afford to buy titles since then? Dont be a moron, you haveta play the games, and even the yankees can be beaten. Maybe not this year, but anyone can lose.

I'm so sick of this argument, it's so 4 years ago. I seem to remember Boston almost spending the money on A-rod, so quit yer bitchin. Every team would try to buy a world series if they had the money to. Can't blame the Yankees for using what they have.

Congrats Boston! Highest payroll to ever miss the playoffs !
If we are gonna talk $$, then how come the Sox missed the playoffs? They are #2 in the league in payroll, and Minn gets the wildcard? You would think Boston would make the playoffs with the #2 payroll, insted they suck balls!
I can see Devil ray and royal fans being mad about the yankee spending, but come on boston, you are second right behind them! That means every team in the league (besides NY) can sh*t on you guys for spending!!!!!
