Yes, lol. I was advised by an attorney friend that if I wanted to get out of jury duty that during the questionaire portion of the jury selection I had to take a hardline and say that I believed in the maximum punishment for the crimes, etc and that the defense attorney would make sure I was removed from the list of possible jurors. I did that and it didn't work, lol. I sat on the jury anyhow. Turns out that we found the person guilty and gave them the maximum sentence allowed. Told 'em so.

Are you kidding me? My company has a policy to continue my salary even while on Jury duty, so my salary plus jury pay equals more money, and I don't have to do any real work for it!
"How do I sign up for MORE jury duty?", is my question!

I had a journalism professor in college who made it an art form. One day he showed up in class, in a bowtie, carrying his briefcase with a big ol smile on his face. "This, ladies and gentlemen, is how you get out of jury duty"
I think he rather enjoyed showing up for jury selection JUST so he could work his magic.

Don't have too. They take one look at me long hair, goatee and say send me packing. One time I didn't get as far as getting signed in before I was sent home.
