For purposes of this question, major leagues consist of Major League Baseball, National Football League, National Basketball Association, National Hockey League, and Major League Soccer. Also for purposes of this question, cities in a metropolitan area with a major league team do not count as they essentually have one already.

I know that this is generally speculation, but I am interested in is hearing opinions on what city or cities you would pick and why. Thanks in advance.

Las Vegas

There has always been a line between sports and gambling, but with the advent of the Internet, and Indian casinos, it is starting to break down. The argument that a city where gambling is legal could corrupt a professional sports team no longer is a strong, since you can place a sports bet from almost anywhere now. In fact, I think the NBA is planning to hold an All Star game in Vegas. It's the largest television market without a professional sports team, which means there is a lot of money to be made there. It will have a team within 10 years, possibly 5.

Las Vegas one of the fastest growing cities without any major team...should get one..but that would eliminate any betting on that team that would be the only draw back..they would need a retractable roof because it is very hot during the summer months...the best bet ..sort to speak would be a NBA team within the next 5 years

i definitely think that Las Vegas is going to be the next city to have a major league sports team.they certainly have the money to finance a team and would certainly bring in a lot of revenue as well as people to see this sporting event. honestly the whole gambling thing is kinda stupid and naive because people bet on sports regardless. i actually think that the New Orleans Saints or the Seattle Sonics have the best possibility to be the team to go to Vegas
