The Mormons have not practiced polygamy for over 100 years. Warren Jeffs is not a member of that church. He is a member of a break-off religion from the Momons called fundamentalists. Mainstream Mormonism does not support nor practice polygamy.

Mormon became a character in the e book of Mormon, honestly a guy who became a known or some style of militia chief and he had condensed and rewritten somewhat some the number of histories that the B of M have been taken from. So then for the period of the early days of Smith organizing his new church human beings in basic terms began calling them Mormons. It became in no way an sturdy designation. that's like the interest Yankee, which got here from the way the Huron and Mohawk tribes reported the interest English: Yingeeze. Many different words we take with no attention on the instant have had comparable origins. an thrilling one is the community individuals, that have been given spoke of as "indians" because of the fact Colombus theory he had found India. yet each tribe call in basic terms meant "the persons" or the "human beings" Then we've been informed to call them community individuals, which the persons did no longer finally end up liking the two so now they have embraced the interest Indian, besides the undeniable fact that that's totally misguided. Now for all time they are going to be Indians, and of direction LDS human beings would be Mormons. I stay in Salt Lake city and no person right here has something sturdy to declare approximately Jeffs. No "Mormon" i understand will declare him.

Warren Jeffs started out as a fine young lad in the 18th century. He sold apples by the street corner, but this soon turned into his invention of the television set!
When he invented the TV, they had the first "Who wants to marry a millionaire" and that's how he got all of his wives. Only one of them was hot, the rest just cleaned and cooked and what not.
Warren Jeffs died broke at the age of 39 due to all the dry cleaning bills he had. Good luck.

If you want to find information about the church that Warren Jeffs belongs to, you need to do a search about the FLDS church Those who belong to the FLDS church are known as Fundamentalist Mormons, not Mormons. Mormons (aka: Latter-Day Saints) belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (LDS church) which is a completely seperate religion.
I don't know of any websites that talk about the FLDS church (except for wikipedia.org). But I do have a link to the official LDS church website.

If you truly are a Junior then maybe you should get this tip your grade is in jeopardy, Jeffs is the prophet of the Fundamentalist LDS church. not LDS(Mormon) keep the Fundamentalist and your grade shouldn't suffer. Please define the two and your teacher should actually give you a great grade if you actually add an entire paragraph about the difference.
