The Ramones, Television, The Stooges, The Clash, The Sex Pistols....there are a lot, and what kind of genre do you speak of? There is also post-punk, and other music that has evolved from it that sounds similar, like new wave (Blondie?).

Be more specific..I know loads of 70's punk bands!
Sex Pistols, The Clash,Ramones, Dead Kennedy's, Bikini Kill, Billy Idol,NOFX,MXPX,The Unseen,Rancid, Operation Ivy,Reel Big Fish, Propagandhi,Minor Threat,The Exploited and many more..
