I. Hate. Larry. Hama.
He started the problem when he decided to give Wolverine "bone claws" (grumbles), and it just spiralled out of control from there. U_U
I *wholeheartedly* agree, the whole "Origins" thing took alllll the mystery from our favourite mysterios warrior. =( Sad.
Plus, Origins wasn't even that good of a story. =/
Oh for the good ol' days.

No, you gotta answer the question at some point. It's total crap that in Lloyd Alexander's Prydain Tales, that Taran never finds out his identity. It's not supposed to matter, but in the end, it's a weaker story b/c he doesn't find out.
What I think goes wrong w/ Wolverine is that they KEEP telling you his identity. They keep spinning new yarns as to his past, his relatives, and connections to other characters.
It's like eating too much dessert. At first it's sweet, a nice completion to the meal, but too much, and you feel tired and ill.

I honestly couldn't give a phuck, but what I don't understand is why other people actually care. I like x-men as much as the next guy but when it comes to secret identities, it doesn't bother me much. I think it's better that ultimate marvel is branching away from the monotony faced with marvel, now if only they made a protagonist villain.

The mystery was cool, but eventually they had to move his character along to keep him from being a one-note character.

no one still doesnt know his "real" identity like before he was turned into the metal fighting machine....
plus wolerine is gay anyway...to over rated and not that special...o well
