thanks everyone!! im suprised to get this many answers! i needed to know for this contest thing for school and i wanted to make sure i was right. The Treaty of Paris - which ended the Revolutionary war - was signed on September 3rd 1783 not 1883. There was another Treaty of Paris which ended the Spanish American War but that was signed on December 10th 1898.
