Yes they should have. They are stupid. I don't care how bad they need a defense because they need a new everything. People were talking about Bush being one of the greatest player all time so, how can you pass him up. Your running back was hurt the year before and now he is hurt again big surprise. Williams is not doing OK. He got lucky on a sack cause he was late gettin there against the dolphins. What did he do against the colts, nothing. The Texans made a terrible decision.

Considering Houston's immediate needs Williams was a better pick than Bush. Now in the long run who knows.
There is so much hype about Bush that it is getting old. Look at his stats as his performance game by game is on the decline. Defenses are picking up the Saints' offensive scheme when it comes to Bush. Also, I am not sold on Bush at this point. The speed of NFL defenses limits Bush's ability to dance around the way he did in college.

Bush has not been very outstanding himself. I think Texans made the best pick for what they needed. At the time they were pretty set for RBs but needed D help badly so the Mario Williams pick made sense. After watching Bush in college and seeing the little bit of his pro game I DO NOT see him being some modern Barry Sanders or the like. In the open field he is damgerous but most of the time he dances, and pussy foots way to much, that worked in college, doesn't work so well in the pros.

A lot of people might think so this year, but after they finish last again and draft Adrian Peterson from Oklahoma with the first pick next year, nobody will care, and by that time Mario Williams will be a proven force on the defense. You can't build a contender with one draft pick.

No, that's plenty extra handy to locate a high quality halfback to hold the burden than that's to get a spectacular notch protecting end. in case you would be unable to place tension on the opposing quarterback, your protection would be on the sphere too long and anybody suffers. in case you get 4 great protecting lineman like the previous purple human beings eaters, the steel curtain, or the That Dallas D-line with Harvey martin, too-tall jones, etc. It makes your corners and linebackers jobs that plenty extra handy. an common secondary would be extremely sturdy in the back of an spectacular front 4, and each NFL scout show you how to understand the comparable element.

I don't think we'll know for sure until the end of the season. We really did need some defense. Or offensive linemen. But Williams only JUST had his first sac in game 4. (Although his tip of the ball that prevented the extra points gave us the win!) I don't think we'll be able to tell for sure for at least a few more games if this guy will live up to the hype.

Totally! Bush would have put people into the stands and has proven that he could make the jump into the NFL. This has to be one of the biggest draft blunders around.

yes, bush is a dynamic player that would keep defenses on their toes by lining up i the backfield and as a wideout, going in motion, and returning kicks. also, considering the injury to domanick davis...they're major idiots.
