There are lots of ways to keep your body in shape. For starters you should exercise at least half an hour everyday. You could just start off with walking slowly then increase your walking pace then jog slowly and increase your pace. Also remember to stretch, do some push ups and sit ups. other than running you can cycle, swim, climb, Anything that you want to do. Also if you don't eat right then you will be exercising in vain. If you eat more food especially junk food in a large quantity then you won't be burning any calories to get in shape, so therefore you need to eat healthy foods such as fruits, vegetables etc.

eat right(most of the time if not all, as its nice to treat yourself sometimes otherwise eating perfectly is like torture....unless that is what you like)
Exercise...if you're not into the whole gym thing then go do an activity you like..your brain will enjoy it more
