Come to Phoenix in March. The weather is wonderful, it doesn't really get any better. you can rent a car when you gt here and go tto the grand canyon for a day. March is also when we have spring training games. its a great family atmosphere at these games and very affordable. the seats are cheap and if you want you can just pay $5 a head and bring a blanket and sit in the grass by the outfield. there are world class restaurants, history and scenery as well. yeah, i've decided you are coming here for your vacation. you'll have a great time.

Virginia-we have beautiful parkways and scenic locations. Richmond hosts Kings Dominion & Bush Gardens which are both great for children, a zoo, and several shopping malls. 45 minutes from that is Charlottesville home of Thomas Jeffeson where you can tour the plantation, eat from the restraurant serving food of yesteryear, shop the souvenour shops and hike in the orchards-as well as purchase homemade goodies.

Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Nice beach to relax and swim, Busch Gardens and Kings Dominion for excitement, Colonial Williamsburg for education and to see history in action. Also, Washington DC is nearby. I loved this vacation as a child and I loved it again as an adult. It is a fun place with a great mix of activities.

Pennsylvania is nice. Philadelphia has many historic sites, and the Franklin Institute is great for kids. I hesitate to mention this in light of the recent tragedy, but we frequently go to Amish Country in Lancaster County. Wonderful for shopping, there's "Dutch Wonderland," a small amusement park, and HersheyPark in nearby Hershey.
Mystic Seaport in Connecticut is also very nice. There's Mystic Aquarium right there, too.

I really enjoy New England. Great food, history, plenty to do, beaches.
A plug for my neck of the woods, Northeast Ohio. In Cleveland you have the Rock and Roll HOF, Akron, the Inventors HOF and Canton the Pro Football HOF all within one hour. The Inventors HOF is great for kids.
Plus the Cleveland Zoo with the Rainforest is one of the top rated zoos in the nation.

Washington, DC is pretty and educational. Chicago is lots of fun with good food and lots to do for adults and kids, but don't go in the winter.
