I'm graduating college and companies are coming here to interview students. But they have like 14 interview slots open ie: 8:30 am - 9:00 am, 9:00 am - 9:30 am, etc...

Does it matter if you choose the first slot or a middle slot or the last slot? I heard you shouldnt choose the last one cus htey will have already made up their minds on who to pick by then...

I would say a middle slot. You won't be too early, nor too late, right in the middle, they will remember you if you interview well.

Good question and one that is often debated.Having conducted a few interviews in my time, the best time not to choose would be before lunch or in the afternoon. I would suggest a slot like at 10 or 10.30 as that will give you time to get to the interview and also time to wake yourself up properly. They will have also seen a few people and have time to adjust or tweak any questions that they may have.A good interviewer will make notes of each candidate and therefore should be able to then assess who should be called back for a second round interview. If they do not make notes, then maybe be a bit concerned.Hope this helps!

I don't know if you are a morning person or not (God love you if you are because I certainly am not) but try to do it as early as you can while still being as awake and lucid as possible for the interview. Near lunch they will be thinking about lunch and maybe be hurrying and then sort of forget about you in their later decision process. By the end of the day they will be tired and could be running behind. Plus their minds are already full of the impressions of the other people.

If it's that big of a company.... Get one right before lunch and then toward the end of your interview- invite the big guy out for lunch and go from there.

It depends, but I would say pick the second time. That way, your interviewer can compare and you will outstand and he wakes up already after 9am

I have had better luck being the last one, seems they are tired of talking to people.
