Is this a serious question? If not the answer is "Leave all knives, guns and lethal drugs at home, then go over to their place and tell them you don't love them."
If this is a serious question, you really don't have any control over how someone will respond to the news. You can consider how long you've been dating, what the current status is between you, etc. The most you can be is as kind about it as possible. I'd say something like "There's no easy way to say this, and I need to be as honest with you as I can: I don't love you. I'm not trying to hurt you on purpose, but it would be worse - especially for you - to think otherwise. It would be unfair to mislead you about how I feel, I'm sorry."

This is my view on the subject.
Just because someone could not be with a person it is not the others fault. They have to understand the person does not have the mutual feelings. What is the point of being tied to a relationship when both people do not love each other.
Sure that person might be REALLY hurt inside. But you do not have to feel obligated to be in a relationship with them.
I had an ex once that over dosed between I wanted the relationship over. My main concern is I did not want their family to blame me if the worst happened. It was confusing enough to have this happen especially because they are older than I am. I just could not understand why did this person try to kill themself just because I did not want to be with them.

It really won't kill them. It will hurt them, but they'll get over it in time. Just be considerate and gentle, and tell them way you'd like to hear it. Expect a harsh reaction, and stay calm and cool.

All you can do is be honest. You are hurting them worse by staying with someone you do not love. There is no way to shield the pain, only time will heal.

You will just have to tell them. It will be for their own good, not telling them and keeping the truth from them, now thats killing them.

Gently. There really is no easy way to break something like that except to just be as kind as you possibly can about it.

You can't. It will hurt them but it is best. They will get over it and if they don't you are not responsible for someelses happiness or self esteem.
