I am considering purchasing a 2-day London pass that includes the transportation on the Underground & busses. Is this a legitimate pass and do all these places really accept it? Here is the web site: www.londonpass.com

have never heard about it. Check out www.tfl.gov.uk for info on passes for public transport. Probably easiest when you buy it upon arrival here instead of ordering it in advance.

Just checked out the website, basically this London Pass is a tourist thing, so your choice depends on what you want. If you just want access to public transport, buy a daycard for the tube and busses. If you want access to attractions, etc, this is for you, though make sure that it includes transport (which seems to be an optional extra and could therefore turn out to be a lot more expensive).

Hope this helps.

Never heard of it. It's probably a scam that lets you into stupid places that you don't want to go to, or else it might include all the top places (London eye, Madame Tussuad's etc) but you'll probably end up paying more than what it would cost, cause you're paying for places you wont visit.
Rather get two one day travel cards when you're in London (Their about £6 a day for zones 1-3) Unless you've got family on the outskirts, odds are likely you'll always stay in zones 1-3, where all the tourist attractions are. And then just book in advance on line at the places you want to visit to avoid queuing.
In the end you'll probably pay less buying these things separately, than purchasing the London Pass.

Well dear, last time I was in London, I used the day pass to full advantage - it is accepted on both Underground trains and busses

I have never bought a two day pass but provided that you buy from a reputable source (station) it will be fine.

Lived in London for years.

The way to travel is with an Oyster card use it on the bus, tube and trains in London. That is what the locals use. You do not waste money buying single tickets.

The Oyster also gives you discounts at many tourist venues and many West End shows. Buy one get one free!!
