I always set aside fifteen minutes for the response when I ask the wife a question because she finds it impossible to answer yes or no.
eg. "Shall we eat out?" "I've got something unfreezing so- etc" for 15 mins. I've thought of giving her a postcard with YES on one side and NO on the other.

haven't been married long. in time the more that you are married the more you 2 will become as 1 and you will know what she really wants to do. Talk to her she is not only your wife but she will be your best friend. The only way is you as the man are going to have to work harder and get her to open up so weather she doesnt say anything you know by the way she is acting it sounds that you two do not talk much if you really love her and care for her you will want to know everything there is about her and to know her ways. come on it is your wife for crying out loud. and you shouldnt have to ask other people about your own wife you should get in there and find out.you had a reason to marry her, why? it is not just a thing of saying i am married get in there and find out everything i mean everything there is to know about her and then later down the road you wont have to ask anyone else about your wife you will just know.

lmao...my husband would fall over if he saw this question! He hates that I can't make decisions...he says I suffer from decidaphobia-fear of making decisions-lol Wish I could help you out more. All I know is it all depends on my mood and what has been happening throughout the day. If I'm upset or grumpy then I won't answer at all usually but if I'm in a good mood then I debate over what to pick cause I want to stay happy but make sure he's happy too. It's a chick thing but I don't think all women are like that.

Us women like to take a scan of both sides and all the possibilities involved, hence the answer we come up with will be the best one-and taking into account everyone involved, not just ourselves. For example: Man2Wife: 'Shall we eat out?' Wife2Man: 'well something is defrosting now so I don't know you silly dip*#@t - why don't you pay attention to anything - don't you know that dinner takes preparation not a magic wand and you should've asked earlier, what woman wouldn't prefer to eat out than have to cook? Also I would've liked to have looked nice for you too instead of rushing out the door - yes for you you *####!' See!

You know this is more common than people realise .... it's all about confidence, isn't it? Some people are naturally glib and reel off an answer.decision just like that ........ others have a stumbling block that is sometimes simply unexplainable. People dither for a variety of reasons .... sometimes because they don't want to make a decision that offends ... they are simply trying to be nice. But I can understand exactly how you feel.... my wife could not decide which pork chop to serve me up and if I didn't choose one for myself, it became a major issue. What I suggest you do is to make a list of everything that you do like about your wife and if they outweigh the indecision, count your blessings!

Not all men can give such a straightforward answer all the time, either. It's not about what WOMEN are like, it's about what your WIFE is like.

You've probably mentioned this to her before. If so, I think the postcard would be a hoot! That's something my husband would do, and I'd crack up!

Not all men, not all women. Sheesh, will you just bottom line it here?

Maybe she feels the need to justify her response to you. Instead of just telling you no, she's telling you why it's no. Would you prefer that she not communicate with you? Do you respond to every question she asks with a yes or no? How boring life would be.

Because women do not process the questions that easily. When you ask she is thinking is it worth changing clothes?, leaving thawed food in the fridge another day which can go bad?, should we spend the money? etc. Try you want to go out to eat? We can always have the chicken tomorrow -

It is her desire to please you that makes her chatty.
If she just said NO when you asked if she wanted to eat out then she would worry... worry you are mad cuz you wanted to go out & she said no... worry you might think she didn't want to eat out when she did want to go out but she had something she was starting already...worry that you wouldn't understand what she meant if she says no without an explaination.

I do this to my husband. HE says he is fine if I just answer no or yes but then sometimes he pouts when I say no.. until I explain WHY ... and we find time to make it a Yes some other day.

most likely she does it to help you understand her or to make things easier by communicating. I know I do.

but tell her how it makes you feel cuz sometimes I just say yes or no now that I know it makes my man crazy!
