I think that Jesus would never want to be categorized as either because both sides of the political arena have their own share of shortcomings. He would rebuff conservative platforms that marginalize the destitute, promote global domination through war, and a penal system that resorts to the death penalty to punish its most harden criminals.
Similarly he would be opposed to the liberal emphasis of woman’s choice to murder a child out of convenience, the white washing of sexually licentious behavior, the skirting of personal responsibility and subscription to moral relativism.
Jesus’ rejection of many of the morally questionable ideologies of both ends of the political spectrum, and his espousal of their noble beliefs makes it impossible to categorize him as one or the other. That is why I dislike it when we hear that Jesus is conservative or he is liberal. He isn’t either. He is the personification of what is the best in mankind, and what is best can never be pigeonholed into narrow terms like conservative or liberal.
With that said I think Jesus would have more recrimination for conservatives than liberals, since conservatives have a greater tendency to attach his name to their “moral values” platform, which in reality is far removed from the gist of his purpose, message, and mission on this earth. Nothing incited Jesus’ wraith more than sanctimonious behavior, and many conservative “Christians” exude sanctimony in spades.

Jesus in Matt: 27-28 said the "Pharisees like the sounds of their own prayers". These are the same heads of the church that had him crucified. Jesus was a Liberal.

I think he would be considered a communist. He fed, healed and taught the people for free. Something neither political party would ever consider! Welfare does not count, it has to be for all the people.
Now I know that SOMEONE would have to work to have things to give out. However, I am thinking if it was a co-operative situation and everyone HONESTLY contributed to the efforts, no one would be hungry or go untreated for what their ailments are.
We are too greedy of a people.

Jesus Himself said "I did not come to abolish the law but to fulfill it." Makes me believe He was a conservative. While it's true that His life on Earth and His teachings did away with many of the traditions of the law of Moses, He never deviated from the will of His Father and reaffirmed the importance of the commandments. The difference was that He stressed the importance of having God's law written on our hearts and obeying God's law not out of habit or duty but out of love and respect for the Father. He changed the way that we look at God and His plan for our salvation, but the basic rules laid down by God having to do with our reverence for Him and the love for our neighbors haven't changed -- in over 2,000 years.

Jesus never forced people to do anything (except for one time in a temple).
He would say, "My dear liberal children, if you would spend as much time helping people as you spend talking about helping people; there would be no one left to help."
I don't recalled Jesus ever advocating that government be used to forcibly take people property and have politicians redistribute it as they see fit.
I'm sure he would be quite appalled at how some people worship government.

Jesus remained neutral in regards to political affairs while he was on earth. He didn't get involved with politics, and he was no part of the world.

Jesus would not vote along party lines. He would vote for Ralph Nader and his push for diplomacy as a means for resolving conflict. He would not vote for war-mongering Bush. He would vote for Clinton and perhaps would smoke a hookah with him.
