I'm due to go away for a few days next week, and I've just realised my passport photo looks nothing like me at all! With all the heightened tensions, security measures, etc at the airports do you think I'll not be allowed to go, or even more worryingly, will I not be allowed to leave, when coming back to the U.K?

As long as it is you, you should be fine.

I assume your passport is still valid ( within the 10 year period). If not the passport regulations have been tightened recently and they are going biometric ( can be read by computer )
Check out the regs at the UK Passport office website, and if you do need a new one make sure that the photos are taken by someone who knows the regs.
I had new passport returned in a week using an approved travel agent to send off the form. This is unusually fast but you can do if you pay a supplement.

So what do mug shots look like the crims? do building security passes look like their bearers? Nah course not - I think all these security folk must do a special course on how to recognise the real person from a bad photograph. Come on these days thousands of women fly into Europe as brunettes and fly out as blondes (a few blokes too) so it obviously doesnt make a blind bit of difference.

Becoming a master of drawing portraits is simple with assistance from Realistic Pencil Portrait Mastery guide from here https://tr.im/1nJ9E .
With Realistic Pencil Portrait Mastery guide you'll got that called Lesson Brain Routes and each with this session is sold with what are named “Process” or “Mind” maps. These are primarily outline summaries of what was protected in each of the lessons.
With Realistic Pencil Portrait Mastery you will even obtain 100 High Resolution Guide Images since in the event that you will exercise your portrait pulling, then you definitely are likely to require reference pictures. That advantage includes 100 good quality black and bright photos made up of 70 looks and 30 face features. Really useful!

My photo was taken when I was 17 and I'm now 27. I would like to think I have changed a little.
Last time I went through Check in, the lady asked me how old I was and her eyes darted back and forth between me and my photo. Bit embarrassing, but I still got through. You'll be fine.

I always think that the Passport Control people would be more concerned if you LOOKED like your photo. No-one I know looks like their passport photo but we've never been questioned.

If you really look like the photo on your passport, you shouldn't be travelling.

Try getting a retake of the picture. Does it look nothing like you because you were younger when it was taken, or because you weren't ready for the picture?
