yea aslong as your smart with it. parents & people complain about myspace all the time & how dangerous it is, but we all know better then to put our address, full name or even where we work on there! half the people on their are beggin for attention, and then everyone who uses it gets a bad name b/c they dont know how to be responsible. if a guy/girl messages or tries to contact you and you dont know them or want to know them, ignore then. aslong as you dont answer, they cannot get a hold of you or do anything bad. also you can make your page privite so that only your friends can see it there fore no strangers or pedafyles or whatever can view your page. if your smart with it, its fine & if your not, then its your own fault. just my opinion tho.

MySpace is as safe as you want it to be. If you're spilling out tons of information about who and where you are and don't know most of the people on your friends list then no its not safe. But if you can take steps to make it safe. You can set it to private so only the people on your friends list can look at your profile. You can set it so that only people who know your last name or e-mail can ask for a friend request. Just remember that any one can look at your page. Employers, friends, family members. Anyone.

No internet chat site is. I have a private profile on Myspace and my myspace friends or only people that I have actually met in person. If you are under 18 there is absolutely no reason for you to be on MYspace.

It is up to each user on myspace to look out for their own safety. You can put yourself in anger on myspace by doing stupid stuff, but you can put yourself in danger by walking down the street too.

Safe? All it is, is a spot for you to write blogs and keep in touch with friends, nothing about it gives out any personal information unless you give it out yourself. It's the internet it is only going to be as safe as you want it to be.

Only put information you would like the whole world to know on you space. Do not hook up with someone you met there. Only let your friends have access to your space, access by a stranger is at your risk, no matter how good he sounds.

Yes and no. Don't believe everything someone writes you. If you want to pursue and net thing into real life, don't meet somewhere desolate. If you travel to meet them, stay in your own hotel room, meet in a public place and don't let them know your hotel until YOU are comfortable.

The internet is full of strangers and they need to be treated like strangers.

Not really. Awhile ago there was a report about a girl who met someone dangerous at myspace.com. I think it had to do with chat rooms. That was earlier this year. You have to be careful with sites like that.

It is safe if you are smart. Don't put any information on there that others can use to hurt you or find out more than you want them to. Just be smart and you will be OK. Have fun
