I've always wanted to find the best blush but I just haven't found it yet. Once in an emergency situation i had to use this awful colored lipstick as blush and surprisingly it was just perfect! It gave me a really nice complexion and had a really good and light texture. Does it harm my skin if I use it as blush? I'm afraid it does, even though there are some "lipstick and blush at the same time" items out there.
What do you think?

Why fix it if it ain't broken. If it works for you then just keep doing it. I have done the same thing myself on several occasions and its worked perfectly well. I don't think it would damage the skin as I would say it's the same as applying a cream blusher. Have you tried any cream blushers yet?, I use rimmel's soft cream blush in "baby kiss" and love it. It gives a lovely subltle hint of colour, "you know when you pinch your cheeks" look. I also put it on my lips sometimes too so quite versatile. Hope this helps.

No no no no no. Don't use the lipstick as the blush. If you like it because it is thicker. There is blush you can get that is just like it. But meant for your skin. SOOO instead of harming your skin any longer, i would reccomend getting that. It is thicker and more moist... And it looks fabulous!!

I believe it really depends on your skin type. If you are prone to breakouts, it might be wise to keep the lipstick on your lips and off your face. Otherwise, go for it. There are many fabulous shades out there that look great as blush.

I think that the oil in the lipstick would eventually make your skin break out. There are cream blushes out there that would be better for your skin.

It does harm and irritate your skin terribly (I know, because I use lipstick as blush), but it does work as a great blush, I agree! I normally use a pale pink shade to compliment my fair skin.

Lipsticks are heavy on the kinds of things that help them to stay on. Like wax and petrolium. They can and will clog your pores and cause lipstick colored black heads. Gross!

I suggest a really good bronzer. Even on white skin it looks nice when applied correctly. They come as cheap as $1.99 at your drug store and as expensive as the one that MAC carries that is ab fab! I like the Clinique bronzer too... beautiful golden natural sun kissed color. Not exactly a blush! Personally... I hate blush!

a lot of make-up artists also use lipstick as blush. if u don't breakout or something then u can continue using it. but if u have a sensitive skin then it will cause irritation of the skin.

i did that when i was younger...yes it can...depending on your skin..lip stick is made up of oils and wax...it can clog your pores and give you some pretty bad pimples..but if your skin can handle it then b all means....what you could do is go to the mall at the make up counters and have them match a blush for you as close as they can...but hey if it works...then wax on wax off...
