Many Republicans know the difference. Do you think as many Democrats know the difference between enlightened pacifism and weakness?

The typical liberal's definiton of Patriotism: "it's whatever I'm feeling right now and Bush Sucks!".
The typical conservative's definition of Patriotism: Valley Forge, Gettysburg, and Iwo Jima.
Incidently, the first words of the jingo quote, if I remember it correctly, goes like this: "We don't want to fight, but by jingo if they do..." The premise of "jingoism" is the reluctance to go to war, but if attacked, they'll get all the war they want, and 'way more.

Not a "sheepublican" or a Democrat, but yes. Do you?
It's really not fair to accuse the Republicans only of "jingoism", when BOTH parties could be accused of being guilty of it.
Patriotism is saying, "My country is a great country, and I love it!"
Jingoism, if I'm not mistaken, is saying "My country is not only the greatest, it's the ONLY great country, and I love it."
