Only female marsupials have a pouch, which contains the teats for suckling the young. Male marsupials do not have one.
Pouches vary from small folds of skin to large pockets, and some marsupials including the koala and the wombat have pouches which face backwards. This is useful for the wombat as when it digs with its front paws, the dirt does not enter the pouch.
A baby marsupial is usually called a "joey" when it is in the pouch.
You will find some interesting information on the koala on the website at Discovery & Learning - Factsheets
Marsupials on display at Melbourne Zoo include kangaroos, tree kangaroos, wallabies, koalas, wombats and possums.

No, it would serve no purpose because the male couldn't feed the young with milk.
