why do people like to play thier music that has loud bass in there car, is because they want attention or they just like to show off?

They like to hear their music loud! When you're in your car and a song comes on that you like, don't you turn it up really loud? I bet you sing along, too, don't ya. :)

They think it is cool.! And for attention.
