no they are annoying little animals that bite and scratch and keep u awake all nite grrr!! rats are alot better theyy learn tricks dont bite and are not as bad as people think they are! or Degos are pretty cool!

I do not like them as pets. Most rodents are not welcome into homes, however this poor animal has become a staple among kids first pets.
I don't think they're cute at all either. It's a pet for kids to kill and parents can easily clean up after it while it needs no animal training at all and neither does the care take an expert. I feel sorry for every hamster subjected to a little cage with some braces wearing kid staring at it for amusement or rolling it around in a plastic ball without a care for the hamster inside.
They are just another toy for humans which use them until they're dead and when that happens in our disposable society, they just go out and buy another to replace it. No sweat.

I love fancy hamsters, but no other ones. I actually really like rats SOOO much better than hamsters. You can put a hamster on your shoulder or play hand tag with a hamster.

I LOVE DWARF HAMSTERS!!!!! Ive had 2-3 already. One died couse she got a tumor. And the one Ive got now is 2 months. Hes a cutey. I always wanted one, then one day my friend came over and gave me and my sister each a hamster! I only like dwarfs hammies.... They dont eat or drink as much. They dont poop or pee as much(that means you dont have to clean there cage as much.) We got a hamster from the petstore and after 1 week it had 3-4 babies! Thats how I got sunny my 2 month old!

I LOVe hAmStErS !!!!!! ive had seven all together , im on my seventh now. hes called patches.ive owned hamsters eversince i was 6. all my hamsters have been girls up untill now , , coz patches is a boy. there names r ( in order of ownage ) :- lightning
honey mouse
snuffy
snowy
honeymouse2
cocoa
and now patches !!!!!!!!! yay !!!!!

I have never had hamsters just girbils. but i would probalby get a hamster.
