How many guys would marry someone like Hillary because she exchanges fidelity for power and greed? It is hard to understand why women like and respect her, but just the same if a woman is willing to let you screw around in order to garner large amounts of money and power could it be all bad to marry a woman that low in scruples or intellectual capacity for moral standards? I don't think so. Where's my intern?

Perhaps Bill loved her at the time they married, but sensed that she'd put up with his affairs and that he could have the benefits of single and married life.

I don't see how she exchanged 'fidelty for power and greed'. They were both Yale law grads, and his jobs as law professor, Attorney General and Governor were not lucrative. Hillary gave up power and prestige to live in Arkansas. She got a job with the best firm in Arkansas, but it didn't compare to the opportunities she would have up North. The firms in the north and east paid two or three times more. Nonetheless, she was major bread winner in the family; her job as a corporate attorney in AR paid MUCH more than his Governor's salary.

When Bill was elected President, Hillary gave up lawyering, and after the health care fiasco, basically did normal first lady kind of stuff When she got elected Senator, it put her roughly where she would have been without Clinton.

I saw her on the Today show just as the Lewinsky scandal was breaking. She said something like, "oh, no, Bill would never do anything like that." and appeared very sincere. I think she actually believed his pledge in the late 80's or early 90's that he wasn't going to fool around anymore. After the truth came out, she retreated for several weeks and then looked depressed.

But I don't see greed or power as the basis for her staying with Bill since she could have attained national office or a million dollar senior law partner career on her own. She's a fairly strict Methodist and goes to church every week. Maybe she had family values and didn't believe in divorce. Don't Christians believe in keeping marriages together if at all possible. Have you ever considered this?

Well if you were smart enough, tough enough, to be minced meat in sound bites tha you to could be a Democrat having consenting sexual affairs with the opposite sex if desired. Or Republican and have sex with same sex minors. Gee sounds like lotsa politicks drop their pants(or raise their skirts)... now violating spiritual concerns will be handled by God(judge not) BUT criminal violations of same sex AND with MINORS will be, or should be, handled by criminal courts.

Wow adults having sex- who would of thought ?

PS Hillary made MORE money(better lawyer?) until Pres days...
At that point first ladies incomes are not job oriented... and ExPres speaking pay IS quite good... especially for good speakers(he MAY have made a good lawyer- never practiced).

None of this is new the labels change- todays liberal bears no resemblence to a liberal of a 100 years ago... different names or same names different views. The anger, fear, and lust remains!

Power= the ultimate aphrodesiac. Good luck with your own quest... you honestly express your confusion WHICH must be suppressed if you desire election- the honestly part- SO you might try for money instead... you do get the justice you can afford...

quote from your post
"Would you marry a woman like Hillary Clinton because she would let you have affairs? "
And you are sure this was the arrangement they made a long time ago before they got married.

I think this marriage has long been a "business" arrangement. They are both getting "pay offs" from being together. This isn't new however, royalty in Europe have behaved this way for centuries. We Americans tend to be more puritanical about these matters and are "shocked, shocked" when we hear about high profile infidelity..

Screwing around has little to do with the spouse of the person who does it.
