I applied for Culvers online for the hell of it. But hey called. I really want a job BAD. I did not tell them I was pregnant ont he phone. I have the interveiw today at 4:30 should I tell them I am pregnant or just keep it to myself. I know I will eventually have to tell them. What should I do?

Well, if you dont tell them and they find out later they can fire you due to the lack of information. If you do tell them you most probably wont get the job because of any time off you might need when you give birth so its a lose/lose situation anyway.

No workplace should discriminate because of pregnancy and i applaud you for wanting work while pregnant. You MUST tell your potential employer your circumstances - it all works for you if they know about it and refuse to employ you just because of pregnancy.

Good Luck and Hope everything goes well with Bub.

If you're six months along, isn't that rather hard to hide. You should try getting a lawyer if you think that is the case. An employer can not just decide to not hire you based on your being pregnant. I had a friend who tried to get a job at a steakhouse when she was that far along. When she got up from the table after her interview they realized she was pregnant and told her they couldn't hire her. That bullsh**.

Don't say a thing I am a manager at a retail store and it is against the law to ask if you are pregnant in Canada. It's called discrimination. Just go to the interview and give it all you got.

Well they will kind of see that you are pregnant when you go on the interview. Most places do not discriminate when it comes to being pregnant, most of it is actually in your best interests for your health and the health of the baby.

Honesty is the best, but No employer can discriminate against you because you are pregnant. That is a federal law, but proving it is so hard. They can say your not qualified or over qualified.

Good luck!!!

It is best to be hounest. But I would suggest talking to someone like a lawyer if you can not get a job. That is descrimination.

unless you are planning to take maternity leave, and the position allows for such a lead, you are legally under no obligation to tell your interviewer that you are pregnant. in fact it is illegal for them to ask you if your pregnant, if your married/single, if you have children, if you have any handicap... etc.

It is none of their business - go to the interview and look shocked if they ask you if you are pregnant.

Well, they will figure something is up when you arrive...being that far along, it will be rather difficult to hide it.

Be honest....it will bite you in the bum if you don't.
