Jerky streaming?

When i try to watch video clips via stream on Windows Media Player 10 the video stops and starts like every 5-10 seconds or so. What is wrong

if its from the Internet it could be that the speed you have is insufficient to watch it. it could also be something to do with the memory on your computer and even possibly the graphics card you have
