I had gestational diabetes with my oldest, after the glucose tests and the diagnosis they should have given you an example menu and a list of foods that are safe to eat...I unfortunately couldn't go by the diet because everything made me vomit so then ended up putting me on the insulin shots. You'll want to avoid sweets and measure your blood sugal levels after eating fruits.

I had it with my first pregnancy and I am 28 weeks and do not have it this time. But when I found out I was pregnant I ate as if I had it. But the doctor should send you to get your plan together. They will give you a menu of certain carbs for breakfast. lunch and dinner. I had to eat two eggs and two pieces of bread every morning any way you want to fix them. You can not have any sugar (No cakes, cookies all the good stuff) The sugar goes straight to the baby. If you want more help and a buddy please just contact me. Thanks and Congratulations!!!

Ask your doctor for a list or how to figure out which foods are good for your blood sugar and which aren't. I am not diabetic, but I know that number is tremendously important when it comes to how big your baby will get. Ask a doctor or dietitian to help you out!

It is probably pregnancy diabetes. You must be very careful and follow your doctor's advice. Have a lot of green vegetables, chicken, fish and veal. Avoid pasta, sweets, bread, fats. But you do need some cereals and milk or yoghurt.

You really need to consult with a dietitian on maintaining your blood sugar, and don't leave it to chance when it comes to your health. You may need to check your blood sugar levels every day with a glucose meter.
