Judging by your name "Surf'n USA," I assume you are an American.
I've spent a little bit of time in Singapore. I think it is an interesting city but I don't think I'd travel all the way across the world just to go there. It might be worth a couple days. It is a very liveable modern cosmopolitan city and is a transportation hub, so it might be a good place to recouperate on a long trip and a good jumping off spot for visiting nearby places.

The food is diverse and is worth going back for... especially Chili Crab and Laksa. (both are spicy). As for tourist attractions, you can do so in a day or 2 max. Not really a big country so don't expect a lot of eco-tourism or beaches. Shopping is expensive but the collections they have are the same as their Western counterparts. People not too warm or friendly.

For the weekends, yes. However, not good for nature, surfing or ecotourism. Expensive= 30 Sing dollars for a room probably you could rent a cheap bunglow in Bali or Phuket.
If you really into shopping, dining and urban lifestyle then probably you would love it. Lack of soul and a bit sterile but yet very clean, immaculate and civilised!

Clean and expensive. Nice to visit - especially the old part, but just for a couple of days. Tip - don't take any chewing gum with you!
