i understand it for some jobs. but i have even seen jobs for dishwashers that require drug testing. i just think that is rediculous.

well it is a neccesity,especially in a food preperation place,hep c comes from drug use,so i think it is fair,sorry doll

My problem with testing is that we as the employees dont know what they are testing for. Sure, they have a right to know if we are using illegal drugs, but what about prescription meds? I dont want my employer having his nose in my personal life. what if Im taking heart meds? he gonna find a reason to get rid of me? what about psyche meds?

YES, it depends on the job...but it is taken too far
drug testing shouldn't be done unless there is a reason to do it!

As a pre-employment screening, I absolutely believe in it as well as on an on-going basis for certain jobs. Otherwise, no.

I think that it is a good idea. If I was washing dishes with someone, I wouldn't want them to be a drugie. Who knows what might happen if they came to work high.

It's a vioation of our privacy. As long as we're not going into work stoned what should it really matter what we do on our own time. I think it's a crock of sh*t.
