This is an example of extreme selfishness and ego centric view of himself and the world and true lack of empathy for anyone else. We are all starting to fall prey to that logic. When we limo darken our car windows so other can't see our faces and then drive like an A** and do not care what others think or feel about us, we have started. Disconnecting with others is what makes a person do what that jerk did. He felt the same way..he wanted to live out some sick F******** fantasy with little girls and knew that he ever did that he's have to kill himself afterward, Either way, by not considering what their hurt, pain, terror, and humiliation would be as a result of his actions, he was the typical sociopath with remorse or feeling for others, and viewed those little girls as objects, not persons, with their own hopes and dreams and feelings. By killing them, he forever voided any sympathy anyone would ever have to his sickness and insanity.
We as a society are so urbanized we simply do not care what other feels or think anymore...Screw them if I cut in front at a movie, screw them if I cut in front of them without a signal, I won't ever see them again...When we used to live in small towns and knew everyone, they were all part of an extended family of sorts. We did respect others, and we did care about what they thought of us..they were all we had...This guy was sick pervert and if there is a hell, I hope he burns eternally for harming those little girls.

No one knows - no one will ever know.
I wish there were an answer. There was a news story saying that the Amish community involved is trying to practice forgiveness - one of their dearly held beliefs. Hopefully they will be able to find a way to make peace with these horrible events. Hopefully the rest of the nation will also.

all these people who harms children either for revenge for something that happened to them in the past or for guilt that they did something wrong are just SICKOS, who blame their own sickness on others.
Then there is Foley, right until the day he wasn't accused, he was just another normal congressman working hard for betterment of this country, but the moment he was accused, he starts telling that alcohol and the abuse in his childhood led to those conversations, and that he is GAY. Why tell all this now? Why didn't he put these things in his agenda when he was running for elections? Because he wanted to gain power and use that power to abuse kids hiding behind these GOP supported congress?
These people, if caught should be dealt with immediately, and justice must be served.

No one can answer your question except the killer himself. HE is the ONLY one that knows why he did what he did. I am very sorry for all the family's that are affected by this tragedy. The ONLY GOOD that has come from this is the killer is dead himself. And the only reason I say this is good as if it were to go to court, there are far too many lenient sentences being given out by the courts today. This being there would be no justice for this heinous crime.

For one thing , the drive-by media glorifies these school killings with 24/7 coverage . The sick maniac out there wants his "glory" too ..so, like a sheep, he becomes a copycat . Tragic . The media has to accept their role in the madness . Their hands are not clean here .

Very bizarre story. Agreed, why involve others, just do society the favor and kill yourself. According to reports, his own daughter passed away and all these feelings of guilt hit him and that's what sparked this senseless act of violence.

According to the news, the man had no motive really - just felt bad about his pass and so on. The guy seemed to be a nice person overall - and was trusted. That's a shame. I too feel for those families.
