Everyone knows that women place a certain amount of pride on being "strong enough" to bear children and often comment on how men couldn't do it. But what if a man was going to do it, would you be a little upset at losing something that is strickly "womanly"?

No. Let him feel the pain.

I wouldn't be envious at all. I'll trade in all the stretch marks ,fillings coming out off teeth, harir falling as the baby pulls the calcium from the mother's body, weight gain, baby fat, morning sickness and all that goes with pregnancy.

However, man wouldn't have the right apparatus to bear a child. There's no uterus, to hold the family in utero. There are no ovaries which produces the eggs.

More power to them! It wouldn't bother me a bit. In fact, I think it'd be great, then they'd be able to empathize more with all the issues that only women go thru, such as the pain, post partum depression/psychosis etc. Plus they'd also experience the havoc child bearing has on the body. Your stomach gets stretched & flabby. But they'd also experience the joy of feeling the baby kick, move, have hiccups etc. In summary, the good & bad that child bearing has on women. I wish men could.

No, as a matter of fact, no! :-) I think it would be great if many more men were brave enough to try it.

For one thing, I believe that if a man can carry a child in their tummies for 9 months, feeling the baby grow, feeling the excitment of the "coming day", they'll be more nurturers when the baby arrives.

I think it would be wonderful. Also perhaps more men will stay in the lives of their children as they watch them grow. I would be very proud of my husband if he could do this. ;))

Losing a feather? Hell, I'd give him the whole damned cap!
Even better, the man should have to go through ALL the physical changes a woman goes through in pregnancy.

No, I don't think so. Really. The women in my family have had horrible pregnancies.

Ok, maybe I wouldn't mind as long as I could get him pregnant! Eye for an eye :)

LMAO. Not one bit since I know that after the first man gave birth he'd ***** and moan so much that none would ever carry the tradition forward.

Definitely would.
im assuming this is a purely theoretical question cos if not i find the idea ethically wrong and unnatural but my womenly pride and ego is enough to appose it on its own.

umm i would say no, although I've never had a child, I would like for men to feel labor, and the miracle of a living thing coming out of you, so dependent on you... hmm so nope, not upset..

Wouldn't bother me. I'd much rather be the one rubbing feet, etc., than being the one that was miserable. You know we'd take much better care of you guys than you guys do of us if the roles were reversed anyway. :P
