If there is anyone out there with some good ideas... please help me choose a good topic. I have to give a ten-minute seminar which is worth fifty marks in my university result. It can be anything that has anything to do with Computer Science. But I was looking for something that would come in the category of latest technology. A good topic would make a good seminar. help please.

Without a doubt one of the most interesting topics you can cover is "The Semantic Web". In terms of something that's topical and forward looking, you can't get much more spot on than this.

For a good introduction to the subject you might enjoy watching Sir Tim Berners-Lee discussing it in the context of "the future of the web" (more description in [1]).

And for technical background the W3C has a lot of detail [2].

There's also a fairly broad description on Wikipedia [3], but it's worth watching TimBL's lecture first.

Good luck with the preso, whatever topic you choose.

You could do something about the new dual and quad core CPUs. And give some specs, info on the companies, the way they work, etc.
