Nothing really happens, it just keeps beeping and is red

Actual overheating, which you can tell by real heat coming from it, can be helped by keeping a small fan nearby.
All electronic equipment should be in a cooled, dust free cabinet or kept low ( heat rises ). small fans are basic & good cpu units have one built in.

I'm not sure what you are talking about...the motherboard is painted red...if it keeps beeping when you turn on the power, your RAM is probably bad.

That means something else.... probably a memory problem, try reseating the memory module(s).
