Sounds fine to me.
The trick with animal (and any other busy prints) is to downplay it with simple dark block colors.
You're idea of black or brown trousers, boots and top, sounds perfect, and the fact that you're blond helps.
It will be a nice dramatic piece, and you might still use it in years to come.
Enjoy you're new luxury!

No worries, lady. 38 is the new 20. If you feel comfortable in it, by all means, wear it. Men know nothing about fashion, except what we teach them. The rule with animals prints this season is this. Keep it simple. Don't wear everything in the print. Wear one thing, and coordinate the rest with it. Do not wear colored animal prints, because it is tacky and out of style. You can wear it with color, just be mindful not to wear bright colors. Do not mix prints (tiger and leopard). That is a big no-no. Then, all you need is throwback wavy hair and red lips; and you will be ready for a night on the town. Take care. Have fun. Dress how you want now, and make sure that you feel good about you.

I think leopard print would be okay for your age. Just make sure you just wear a subtle piece like leopard print shoe or a leopard print jacket. Don't wear a top that has leopard print but rather a top that has either the neck part as a leopard print if you know what I mean.
So that outfit looks pretty good to be, wear the black full length boots. Good idea!

I'm 37 and I saw a coat in New Look. It was to die for. It looked so elegant but my husband asked the same question. Men have no taste. It looks lovely with leopard print shoes, bag and the little black dress for a night out or with jeans and boots for the day. And I always receive good comments when I wear it. Don't listen to what others say. Fashion is all about what the individual feels comfortable in.

If it is a soft leopard I think it's okay. What might not look good probably would be a really dramatic leopard print, which is probably for younger people. Sounds nice to me, I also think leopard compliments blond hair. P.s most men don't know that much about fashion so your husbands opinion is not the most trustworthy in this case, unless he is well informed in the world of woman's fashion.

I heard that leopard print is in too. I have to say go with what you feel comfortable in. I'm not really a fan of the animal print even though I know its supposed to hot this year. But I'm sure that if you wear it with confidence , you will turn heads. Good Luck!!

38 is not old by any means but it depends on your weight. The coat should be fine but wear it with simple clothes. I think that the boots and capri pants would be too much with it. Plain pumps or flats and full length trousers would be a better choice.

Hmmm... I'd say good idea! Leopard print is really funky this season and can be worn tastefully at any age.
Just don't go teaming it with a denim mini skirt, low cut top and gold hoop earrings and you should be OK!
By the way... men always say the silliest thing! Never take fashion advice (or criticism) from your husband!

Leopard print is my favorite...purses, clothes, and pj's. I don't think there is an age limit to wearing it as long as you can do it with style and class. The outfit you described sounds sophisticated with some spunk, in fact I would love to have a coat like that. My opinion, wear it and see how you feel in it, wear it with confidence and you will like it......Never too old. (I'm sure your husband doesn't know all the latest trends, my husband has said things like that before, I just ignore him and wear what I want, he usually ends up complimenting me once he sees me in the outfit) Good luck, and take care!
