How much is a 1928 series federal reserve gold exchange 50 dollar bill worth?
Is there a website that has an old money price guide?

I presume you are referring to the 1928 FRN and not the Gold certificates. In the October 9th issue of Coin World, a company is selling them for $119.00 in grades fine to Very fine and in extremely fine or better $149.00. Page 16. I don't know of a web site that lists what a dealer will pay, but there are some if you use a search, you can find that sell. I don't really collect paper money, but do keep up with it, for many notes are historic. I do have a few interesting pieces. The prices in Banknote reporter Sept 2006, are close to the prices I quoted as retail.

Well I can tell you you won't get gold for it today. You also can't get an accurate appraisal when people can't see what they're appraising. Take it to a collector or an antiques dealer for a more accurate appraisal.
