I just came back from Rio. I have to be honest here.....it was disgusting!!! Trash EVERYWHERE...everyone just throws the trash in the rivers and streets. I was treated to a "posh" "black tie affair" at the Rio De Janerio Yacht Club. Well...about 40 minutes into our meal...3 GIANT (I mean small dog size) rats scurried across the dining room floor. The "servants" simply walked over them!!! I was truly amazed...and disgusted!!!

The only things I know about Brazil are this...They always have really good Soccer players...The country is really poor..the crime rate is high..and they always rank High on the most un educated coutries in the world. I knew some people who moved away from brazil also because the job market was really really bad.

Brazil is an awesome country, its music its culture, dance..........its spirituality.also one of the largest exporters of semi precious stones
If interests also include..wildlife.......animals zoology..anthropology..socialogy...you will adorn your interests with spectacular jewels...unfortunately there is also great poverty that exists there..in the large city's..favelas or projects..where subhuman conditions are an every day norm...however from the decadent elegance and intensity of Rio to the rural life of Bahia...and even in the despair soaked nether world of the favelas...one can find a people with much heart...and magick..if one has an interest in helping children....if you listen closely you can hear their stomachs growl..from across the ocean...and their hearts beat to a carnivalistic...song of healing few can comprahend......

Love it, I've been there 5 times (a quarta vez pra casar :). I never saw a single rat in Rio, and I wasn't even at a yacht club (I lived a dive of a hotel near Flamengo beach). So I'm afraid I think Fred is only imagining he was in Rio....

- brazil is a very huge country and for me is the best place in this world ...from forest rains, cospopolite cities, nature,sea, hills,desert,lakes,and nice people,culture,sports,just do not have mountain but you can go to Chile or Argentina...
