What do you mean, security would not let Lindros in? Texas blows. I am so psyched the NHL is back. Psyched for the Ranger home opener and then watching Calgary at Edmonton on the Dish.

The only thing worst about Dallas than TO is The camarea view they use at the games while i am watching the center ice package. The stars won last night and Mr. Lindros had a assist. I may be wrong but the Stars are the last champions Dallas has had Not the Cowgirls or Mavs. Must be The (Miami) heat down there

That's one of the lames things I've ever heard. I live in Dallas and hockey is a HUGE thing down here. How the heck would you know if it were popular, if you're not even from here! What do you care anyway? Are you just a little worried that the Stars are better than whatever team you might be rooting for (I'm assuming Montreal.)? And Eric Lindros is a stud hockey player - you can't tell me that you know what every famous hockey player looks like. Just because the people may work at American Airlines Center doesn't mean their hockey fans.

GO STARS!!

Hey, its the same problem Baltimore/DC has. I mean the no support for Hockey problem, not the getting to bring home the Stanley Cup problem!

We have the Orioles, Nationals, Ravens, Redskins, and Wizards, so if you're not MLB, NFL, or NBA, you get no lovin'. I mean we have a championship soccer team (The Baltimore Blast), and most people don't even know we have a soccer team at all!!

It used to be the "Big Four Sports" -- MLB, NFL, NBA, AND NHL, but some how NHL is being left out of the equation. I guess a league virtually free of drugs, scandal, corruption, and criminals isn't as appealing. Believe me -- Baltimore is SO proud to have Rafael Palmero's drug scandal and Ray Lewis' & Jamal Lewis' legal problems attached to our city!!

Hockey is still viewed as a "forgeign" sport, just like soccer and Indy racing and us good ol' boys can't seem to get behind it. I think the Stars will live in the shadow of the Cowboys for along time to come, just like the Capitals will be overshadowed by the Redskins forever, even if we did win the Stanley Cup (ever).

I agree with Wiznit, give them some time to absorb some good ol Canadian culture instead of the other way around. Hey its his first year in that market. I'm more pissed off about a Texan company buying out our B.C. gas company. Thats what we should be worried about. Let 'em pay the hockey salaries.

Dallas is one of the better "southern" hockey markets IMO. Lindros is an overrated nobody so I don't blame them down there.

_

As long as the team/owner makes a profit, it will remain in Dallas.

Houston was after the Edmonton team a few years back... I could see the Houston Penguins as a team. Makes as much sense as the Utah Jazz.
