Hello??????? I said in the very first sentence that I do not want to be rude! I am just not a rude person! I know that some of these women have been trying and are excited to know, and that is great! But some are just very careless, girls, who need to just take the test. I know that everyone makes mistakes. I make a lot!

I come to Yahoo answers because I like to give and get advice. I answer questions in the pregnancy and parenting because this is what I know most about. Check my answers on my prof. What I am upset about is that we all know that when you type in a question similar previously asked questions pop up. I do not understand why these women feel the need to ask the same question again when they can get their answer right there instantly. I am not rude and I do like to help, but people also have a responibility to help themselves, not to let others do all the work.

lol, calm down babe. sometimes they've been trying so hard they want reassurance and positive thoughts before they go get the test, that's all. i'm almost where you are now but i try to have more compassion because i was one of them for years. i didnt have yahoo answers but i certainly bugged the HELL out of my sisters and friends for a very very long time. try to take it easy on them, it's a very emotional rollercoaster ride. *hugs to u* calm down, i know it can be annoying to some, like you...but be easy on them, it can be very stressful & emotional ride trying to conceive and then i'm sure some of them are just babies themselves. i'm sure they have an idea that they could possibly be pregnant they want support. this is the section for the pregnancy questions. yes, it'd be very easy to go out and buy a test but if you're an emotional wreck and have no one to ask/talk to, where would you turn? for all of you that are so annoyed with the questions, whether they're repetitive or not, just go to another section. that's very simple to do as is going to buy a test. and why is it that questions and comments like these get the most results of answers? by the time this is concluded, i'm sure there will be 3+ pages of responses. that's sad. we come here to help or ask for help, if you're not able to do either, why bother even logging on to yahoo answers? Bless all of ya!

Here's an idea: you could always find another hobby, other than reading the pregancy board on Yahoo Answers! if it annoys you so much. ;-) LOL

What gets me is the volume of questions that ask "what are the symptoms of early pregnancy?" All they have to do is go to google.com and type in "symptoms of early pregnancy" and instantly the answer comes up, from a half a dozen reliable sources. I am surprised by how clueless people are and that they can't do even the simplest of Internet research. (!) Haven't they ever heard of a search engine?

Oh well! It helps me pass my day at work to read and answer questions, and I feel like I am learning a lot about what to expect with my pregnancy from the others. Hopefully some young, single people will take my oft-repeated advice, which is to get on birth control pills if they don't want to get pregnant.

I think you're totally right. It's hard to find a legitimate question amist all of those. It gives me a headache. If you're so worried about being pregnant then you should just go take a test. No one here is going to be able to tell if you are pregnant or not. Only a pregnancy test or a doctor/nurse can. Quit wasting everyones time.

I agree. Especially those who are asking 1 day after having sex. How could anyone know if they are pregnant. All I can say is that anytime they have sex it could very easily result in pregnancy. I even saw one who was freaking out because her period was a couple hours late. Hours! Are this many mothers really not doing their jobs and educating their daughters?
I am also tired of people asking when their conception date was. It's not my job to figure out who is the father of their baby.
I have a 13 year old girl and these kids are really scaring me.

Simple answer to this, stop looking at the posts for those am I pregnant ones. People need to ask questions, let them, but you don't have to offer any advice on it. Let them be, it's not like it is going to change. I pretty well stopped looking at those ones as well, because they are becoming too much, too many of them.

Hahaha. Thank you, I wanted to post the same question. It makes me nuts too. Especially when they start getting into the dates they had their period and the day they had sex........ Exactly take the damn test. I also sometimes get annoyed when people ask questions that they can find answers to anywhere. Heck you are on Yahoo question, why not do a Yahoo search first and see if you can find out the answer to your question all by yourself.

You know, I was thinking the same exact thing! Im 20 weeks pregnant, and I come on here just to see others questions, and all the time I click and its like "am I pregnant...I had unprotected sex and my period is 2.4837 days late" Its really annoying!

I don't get how someone who did the deed has no idea if they are pregnant, BUT they expect a group of strangers - sight unseen to detect pregnancy.

Maybe they are hoping that a psychic OBGYN reads their question.

LOL I was just thinking the same thing!!

I think what the questions are about is finding support to go get the test.
